Promote your event

The Eat Well Food Tour team needs your help to promote your local event! Below are several ideas for getting the word out.

  • Create an announcement for local churches and food networks. Keep the announcement to 100 words or less and find out if your area has a ministerial fellowship network that can help. Food networks might include Slow Food groups, food pantries and community supported agriculture farms (CSAs). Here's a sample:
Eat Well Food Tour coming to [Location] [Date]
What do food and faith have to do with one another? Is it enough to pray before our meals? Giving thanks to God is certainly important, but there are also many other ways Christian values can influence our food-related habits. Come to [location] on [date] at [time] for a free workshop on how to put faithfulness into practice around the table and beyond. The Eat Well Food Tour is co-sponsored by the Christian Reformed Office of Social Justice and *culture is not optional. For more information about the tour, visit www.EatWellFoodTour.com.

  • Distribute posters to local churches, libraries and area businesses. Download a PDF poster and add your specific event information in the provided text areas.

  • Create an event on Facebook and invite your friends who live nearby.

  • Hand out mini-fliers at your local farmer's markets and place them at area farm stands, health food stores and other local food sources. Download an editable PDF mini-flier here.

  • Write a press release to send to local papers.

  • Use free event listings like your local Chamber of Commerce, NPR affiliate, etc.
